Disable Rehabilitation Charitable (DRC) Fund
Under the umbrella of this Sahara Care Home, Disable rehabilitation Centre, an NGO, has established and run a charitable fund 'Disable Rehabilitation Fund'. This fund is run by a group of representatives from Sahara Care Home, HBC FM 94, respected professionals(Lawer, Doctor, Beurocrate and Jornalist) and social workers.

Disable Rehabilitation Centre (DRC) is a non-profit making, non-political non-governmental organization established and registered in 2007. This centre was established as a result of joint effort of Sahara Care Home, HBC FM 94 and some respected social and professional personalities in Nepal, under the umbrella of Sahara Care Home (Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Hospital) .

The number of congenital and acquired disabilities comprises about 4% of the total population of Nepal. There is an expectation of about 150 thousands of Nepalese people have been suffering from different kinds of disabilities due to people war leaded by Maoist. About 90% of them are living in villages and more than 80 % are expected not to be enjoying rehabilitation facilities because of their poor economic status. DRC is a result of this scenario of disability and their rehabilitation in Nepal.

Vision of DRC
All disabled people irrespective of economic status will get support for treatment from DRC.

 
Mission
Mission of DRC is to improve the quality of life for disable people by providing appropriate physical therapy and rehabilitation.

 
Objectives
To establish a fund to help the poor people, under privileged and marginalized population of disabled people.

To mobilize government, NGOs, INGOs, private sector, international community and individuals for resource generation for Disable rehabilitation Fund

 
Ongoing Activities
It has established 'Disable Rehabilitation Fund' to help the poor people for rehabilitation services.

DRC is providing financial help for the poor, under privileged disabled people in the community or in rehabilitation centers.

It has planned to help human resource development programs in the field of disability rehabilitation. Simultaneously Fund raising programmes are ongoing.

 
Location
The office of the DRC is located at Maharajganj, Kathmandu, Nepal (in between two big hospitals: Kanti Children Hospital and TU Teaching Hospital)
